To give you clue of what all is going on in the upstairs.... Originally there were 3 bedrooms a bathroom a very long skinny living room, kitchen/dining room. What we decided we wanted to do was open it up a good bit. In the picture the Kitchen/Dining room is in the very back while the long living room is to the left and to the right the bedroom and the stairs beyond. We took out the bedroom and are going to put up a beam running the length of the house to really open it up. We are going to put in place log posts to hold it up as well as basically having an open stairwell with a log railing around it. I think it will turn out very well. I have all these visions and so far Kelly has trusted me (which I greatly appreciate) and is giving me a lot of freedom to do this. She has a lot of decor already picked out that is going to be a great compliment. The logs will add to the country feel as well as just be pretty sweet.
